I’ve spoken in depth about the MAXIMIZER staking strategy here. Basically it is a manual accumulator that significantly increases profits when using with Sportstrading.guru lay the draw football selections.
The MAXIMIZER relies on 9 straight winning selections, and because we are manually creating a 9 game accumulator we need to reinvest our profits from the previous winning games. Again you can learn more about this here.
How it works.
So game#1 we bet 1pt (more accurately we risk 1pt – i.e. our liability). If it wins we make a profit of around 0.3pts (based off lay odds of 4). So game#2 we bet 1.3pts (1pt plus our 0.3pts profit). We continue to bet 1pt plus all profits from the previous games on all future selections up until the 9th game. If the 9th game wins we bank all profits, which is usually around +10pts, and then start our 9 game MAXIMIZER again (i.e. start with a 1pt stake).
If you don’t want to calculate profits and new stakes (or actually liabilities as it is with lay bets) then you can use the simplified MAXIMIZER staking strategy, which goes like this:
Back to the subject of this article…
Recently I was on an 8 game winning run and I’d just staked 9pts on game#9. I am betting £100 per pt at the moment and following the simplified MAXIMIZER staking strategy as highlighted above. So, I was looking to bag an £1000 profit if this final game won, or lose £100 if it did not.
At half time the game was 0-2, so I thought my chances of winning were high. But unfortunately the home team pulled it back to 2-2 and this is how it ended. This is very annoying but it happens and it is not something to worry about too much because history has shown that another 9 game winning run will happen again soon.
Anyway, I did not lose £100 overall when this game ended in a draw, in fact I won £10. BUT HOW CAN THIS BE?
Well I was following the final stages of this game on my phone (via the Betfair website) and I was keeping an eye on the In-Play Cash Out value. It was wavering around -£650 (loss) mark. The game was closing in on 85mins so it was pretty apparent this game was going to end in a draw (unless something drastic happnened). So I decided to take action and I Cashed Out.
I managed to get a -£650 loss on this match, but of course I had made profits across the previous 8 games in this current MAXIMIZER, which were around £750 (£749.80 to be exact). So even with this -$650 loss I still made a profit of around £10 overall 🙂
While not the £1000 I was hoping for I managed to escape the loss of £100 that I would have taken if I’d just let the game run it’s course.
What I did was a bit more proactive and if you are not able or willing to following games and take action like this then that is absolutely fine. If you simply follow the MAXIMIZER and take your losses along with your wins you will make on average 9pts per month (based of the last 260 games results).
What should you do?
I just wanted to throw this out there and show you how you can help navigate around some potential losses (or at least minimize them) if you are willing to get a little more involved. If you are happy to watch the odds and Cash Out values then maybe this is something for you to look at further. But as I mentioned if you do not have the time or are not interested in getting more involved like this then that is absolutely fine, just take your profits and take your losses.
Best of luck and if you are not currently getting Sportstrading.guru selections then today is a good day to start.
